Sympathy for Bugs

They’re new at this, so they don’t fly so well. They’ll fly right into you, or slam into your window. For two weeks they’ve sent up their chorus 24 hours. They interfere with work because you can hear them right through the walls of the studio. But, it’s only for a month or so every seventeen years.

Not our normal subject matter, but it’s something extraordinary, and this very pretty video from filmmaker Samuel Orr and composer/musician Dexter Britain takes a sympathetic look at … cicadas.
