Welcome. I'm Bill Murray, travel writer, picture-taker and lifetime traveler.

I’m author of four books. Brand new in April 2021 is Out There: Thirty Essays on Travel, a collection of travel columns. I contribute a monthly column about off-the-beaten-track travel to the Monday Magazine at 3QuarksDaily.com, and I curate EarthPhotos.com, a collection of 20,000+ photos from the 120 countries and territories to which my wife and I have traveled.

Our ongoing mission is to get to places we haven't been, write books and articles, post commentary here and photos on EarthPhotos.com.

We live in Georgia, USA, and spend as much of each summer as we can at our mökki on Lake Saimaa in Finland. Except in pandemic years.
